The Lumafix is a small board that sits below the video chip and reduces the striping effect caused by interference
The LumaFix significantly improves your picture. It takes the interfering signals, inverts them and feeds them back into the Luma signal. With a socketed Vic chip, it's simply a matter of prying it from its socket, inserting the Lumafix in its place and then inserting the video chip on top. Screws allow you to adjust the LumaFix to achieve the best picture. If your video chip isn't socketed, some soldering skills are required.
